Stress Hormone

Scientific evidence shows that continuously high stress hormone
levels are associated with difficulty maintaining weight, feeling
relaxed, sugar or carbohydrate cravings, fatigue, an increasingly
negative perspective, moodiness, increased PMS symptoms, and
increased appetite. Elevated
Cortisol levels have been associated
with a wide range of health effects from increased appetite, to
weight gain, to diabetes, to depression in some cases heart
disease and cancer. Are you worrying yourself sick?

About the Stress Hormone

The stress hormone is a hormone produced by your body in
response to stressful events. The occasional release of this "fight-
or-flight" hormone is essential in responding to emergency
situations. But too-frequent release of
Cortisol in response to the
daily stresses of our hectic lives can have extremely negative
health consequences.

The role of this
hormone is to prepare your body for action. In
preparing your body for action it increases blood pressure and
heart rate, mobilizes stored fat, breaks down muscle and bone,
suppresses the immune system, increases the appetite, and
decreases sensitivity to insulin, so that more fat is stored. Normally
the hormone does its job and goes away, allowing your system to
return to normal, but when you are under constant attach you can
suffer from continuously high levels.

What Can I Do?

Using a supplement such as Cortislim™  or Relacore™  will
complement any healthy diet, but it's always wise to follow some
simple rules: Eat fresh and natural whole foods. Avoid processed,
artificial foods. Avoid caffeine and sugar and stop eating past
7 p.m., or three hours before bedtime.
